I’ve looked at purchasing roll-up screens for years, with price and accessibility to a DIY screen holding me back. In my area, there are plenty of companies that offer roll-up screens that only they install, and I wasn’t interested in paying $1500-$2000 for installation of something so simple. After a discussion with a friend of mine, I found Value Blinds, and it was just what I was looking for. It is a long lead time on the shipment, but it is worth the wait. The screen came very well packaged in a cardboard box with wooden crating around it. Once I opened the box and removed all the packaging, I got right to work. I was by myself when it arrived, but was anxious to get started, and picking up the 13’ screen roll in the housing was going to be impossible. So I was able to remove the screen and motor, releasing the clips on either end that secure it to the header, which lightens it up substantially. This allowed me to attach the side rails and maneuver it into place, checking level and marking spots to drill holes and secure it to the opening by myself, within an hour and a half. Once installed, I had help sliding the screen back into the header, and that’s it. I plugged it in, and bam, instant privacy. I chose the black 3% openness because I wanted to be able to see out, have privacy, and have some ability to hold in heat during the winter, and after a little research, landed on 3%. All in all, it was a great experience. Customer service has been great with quick response on all my questions and inquiries. I will be ordering more screens in the near future.

I ordered the motorized screen and I'm truly happy with the product. I had been doing alot of research finding the best deals at the same time a superior product and value blinds had the best deals. I had two companies come to my house and give me an estimate. One gave me a quote of 6,000 and the other 8,500. Granted that they would install the screen. I was totally fine with me installing it myself. I'm not a professional nor an electrician but I must say, it was super easy to install. My screen weighed 151 pounds and I did it alone. All's you basically need is a drill and some screws. That's all that's required. I installed my screen to the entrance of my carport to protect my vehicle from harsh weather and it worked out great. I do however advice you get one person to help lift the screen to the exact position you will mountthe screen. I did the job alone. It was easy but it would've been more easier if I had a hand. Nevertheless I recommend value blinds. The screens are perfect. Just awesome...

Wow great product I was hesitant about ordering such a large project online. If I had any complians the install directions were a little vague, I sdpent a lot of time reaching. I had the help of a local handy man we learned together. Some tips, my project was 18' wide I was worried about the casset not being supported in the middle. After you ungrate your screen its best to remove thr screen tube from the casset (shroud) first remove the small screws from the bottom only one on each side and the front of the cassett comes off. To remove the screen tube there a two clear plastic clips on the motor end you need a flat head **** driver to push back before pulling loose. pull out then repeat on other end. attach the side rails to the cassett, now side the unit in place. the side rails have 3 pieces the screen guide pulls out the top then the sides pull apart. when mounting the side first drill holes larger than the **** head in first layer then the back drill smaller hole size of **** threads in the part that mounts against the frame. side the screen tube in place and feed the zipper edges in place. My hardest part was the remote, it lost the pairing with the rf remote, after consulting with Chat GPT about the remote to no avail I finally downloaded the wifi spp tuya wich gave me mort din depth setting. All in All I am very happy, my nieghbor put in simular setup with local company had 10K in it when done, I came in at arounf $3,200 including $600 labor. Definately ready to order my 9' for the side

Good product… very little tolerance of error with level and plumb on install on large shades but overall seems sturdy

We needed very wide shades for our gazebo. It’s always breezy so we wanted a one piece design with rails for wind resistance. Sunny and Value Blinds for the win! The ordering process was very detailed to make sure our blinds fit perfectly! We were able to install them ourselves with the use of forks on our tractor. If you need very wide blinds like we did, you’ll definitely need the right equipment for DIY installation or hire a professional. We had our electrician hard wire them into our existing wiring for a nearly cordless look. I didn’t know how to switch the remote between the two blinds and Sunny promptly sent me the instructions! I can’t stress enough how responsive their CS is! It does take several weeks for your custom blinds to be made and to ship. Mine were so long they had to be trucked to us so that added a little extra time. Overall I had a great experience and we cannot wait for spring to enjoy spending time in our gazebo using our Value Blinds
